Data Cabinet Tidy Service on Maxted Road in Hemel Hempstead Industrial Estate

The Cabledan Team worked on a project for an office company that owned multiple rented offices within one building. Our telecommunications techs ran cabling from all of the offices to a central data cabinet. As no remedial or maintenance Structured Cabling Work had been undertaken for quite a few years the scope of work was as follows:

•  Access each office out of hours and locate every data point, confirming that there was the correct amount of points in
  office according to its size
• Conduct a visual test consisting of ensuring the data point was not broken or damaged
• Any  Damaged data point, was to be replaced and correctly labeled
•  Tested each data point using a Fluke DSX5000 Cable Tester and replace any that failed Cat 6 Standard
•  Label outlets with Traffolyte engraved Icon Labels

All work had to be completed before the start of the next business day. In total, during our Data Cable Installation,  70 offices and 350 Data points were tested and labeled. By the end of the first phase of our Telecommunications Project,  the old PBX ( Private Branch Exchange) was removed, and the new VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) switches were installed during the span of a weekend.
The next step was to patch the VOIP using the detailed cabling report obtained during testing in phase 1. Each port on Patch panel in Comms Cabinet was neatly patched so that the IT department could easily trace the patching should the serviced office tenant require extra connectivity.
